What is one piece of advice that you would give someone just starting out in your industry?
[00:01:26] Speaker B: Yeah, well, one, I want to say thank you Josh for having me here on your platform. I really do appreciate the opportunity.
But yeah, I will say, one piece of advice I will say is for, for new beginners to not be so focused on the numbers. Right. I feel like new beginners compare themselves a lot which rightfully so. Right. They want to do well in the industry and they are trying to make sure that they are showing up the right way. However, I do want to say that it's more so just focus on the action being consistent there. So if you are showing up to the marketplace which is social media, just focus on your daily actions and what is that? What would that look like? So is it one post to a a day?
Are you engaging? Are you doing 20 minutes of engagement every single day? Just focus on that versus how many views or likes you get on a post. So that would be my, my piece of advice for beginners.
[00:02:31] Speaker A: Yeah, that makes sense. And, and it's all about being consistent and, and finding a way to do those revenue generating activities. I think we're all guilty of that really. Felicia. I, you know I've been doing this for a long time and I was just having a conversation yesterday with my, you know, I'm spending an awful lot of time doing things that are not about generating revenue. Like it, it you just it it you like kind of it's like you're on ice and you just kind of like drift off of the center, you know?
[00:03:01] Speaker B: Absolutely, yes. 100. I mean, I, I, me as well. I mean, when I first got started, I was trying to fine tune my, my website. Right. I don't even know why I would have a website. I had no traffic going to the website, you know.
[00:03:15] Speaker A: Right.
[00:03:16] Speaker B: You know, but you fall into it. But I think it's the right people surround like around you to hold each other accountable. I'm big on community, so that's, you know, another thing I will say. I don't want to move us to steers in the wrong direction here, but I definitely believe that when you have people that, that are mentors and have already accomplished what you're trying to accomplish around you to help you along the way, that's is so crucial for your growth.
[00:03:49] Speaker A: So talk to me a little bit about the idea of, hey, I gotta, you know, I gotta get my website right. I gotta get my logo. You know, I gotta get a simpler logo or like a fancier, shinier one before I get started. Oh, oh, I know I need to get a business license, whatever, whatever the hell that is. Like, I've been in business for like since 2008 and I have no idea what a business license is. Is that like, is there an exam for this license? Like, people make up all kinds of reasons to not get out and you know, ask for money.
[00:04:21] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, you know, that's, it's tough because I feel like the traditional route of owning a business is like you need an llc, right. You need to make sure that you have your branding intact when it comes to the color scheme of what you want your social media to look like.
And you know, that's, I think it just, it's so easy to just get caught up in that, you know, versus. Okay, let me book my calendar with ideal clients, right. And those, those booked calendar will lead into sales eventually. Right.
But you know, that's the fluff. I mean, I, I think that's just so, it's so, it's just easy to fall into because you just think that that's necessary to grow a big business. Right. When you people want a large. Well, at least the people that I have been around want to have some type of a large business and they think that they see all of these big successful entrepreneurs and they have all of that. So you're just trying to model what they have versus, you know, you don't, you don't see, you didn't see what they started with in the beginning versus, you know, you're trying to compare yourself to a million dollar company and that's not. You don't need to do that.
[00:05:36] Speaker A: Yeah, exactly. And so what are the things that we do need to do? Can you, can you walk through from, from what you've seen in your experience, what are those kind of top tier activities that we need to do as we're first starting?
[00:05:50] Speaker B: Yeah, absolutely. I mean I will say that today and age, right. Social media is not going anywhere.
So one, you need to make sure that you are making consistent posts. And what I mean by posts, right, you don't want to just post anything. You want to make sure that you are giving some type of value. I know value is such a broad term nowadays, but you want to make sure that you are giving value in some way of either helping someone transform their life or making some type of task easier for them. So you want to give that information on your social media platform. So sending consistent posts online, you want to make sure that you're also having. I'm big on this. Having conversation with your ideal client. So where that could be where you are sending code dms. Right. I know a lot of people don't like code dms, but that's how I started and I started out with doing cold dms.
Also, don't even shy away from your warm out, your warm market. Right. There's always people, I'm sure there's people in your small circle, your circle that are your, you know, your, your audience. Right. And so don't, don't, don't forget about that. Right. You're the people that you are around and you're networking, your network circle. So reach out to people in your network.
Also make sure that you are also educating yourself. So I am big on learning from other people. Right. So like that could look like if you are in the coaching space, the consulting space. Right. Make sure that you have, you also are investing in yourself as well. Nobody's going to invest in you if you're not going to be big on investing within yourself and within your business.
So those are just some of the things I will start, would start out with.
Yes, that's the slow route. I know some people, you know, like to start out in ads. I'm, I'm big on making sure that you master the, the organic route first and then going to the paid, the paid ad route.
[00:08:06] Speaker A: Okay.
And is there a, is there a certain industry that you focus on?
[00:08:13] Speaker B: Yeah, so I focus on, I mean it's not really a industry. So I help new beginners. Right. In all areas. I kind of switched. It's funny that you read my bio. I switched up a little bit just because I wanted to make sure that I am focusing on to help with self discipline and time management skills for new beginners because I have found that people just need some like those, those strategies in the beginning to make sure their system is setting them up for success.
And then that's around self, self discipline and time management.
So I help people in that area and all like service based professionals. And then when it comes to coaches, I help coaches in any arena, online fitness coaches, health and wellness fitness coaches. I've also helped purpose driven, faith driven coaches as well in addition to life coaches.
[00:09:14] Speaker A: That's awesome. And so tell us where we can go to learn a little bit more about you and connect with you.
[00:09:20] Speaker B: Absolutely. Yeah, I am, I'm pretty much on all social media platforms but you can find me on Instagram at True Worth by Fee Ph why all all no underscore or anything like that on Instagram. And I am also on YouTube as well. Same at TrueWorth by fee.
[00:09:42] Speaker A: Very good fee.
